FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about quantitative data collection with GDCC.

What is CATI?
CATI stands for Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing. Interviewers follow a scripted questionnaire on screen while speaking with respondents by phone, with answers captured in real time. It remains one of the most reliable ways to reach representative samples and verify who you are actually speaking to.
What is the difference between CATI, CAWI and mixed-mode?
CATI is telephone interviewing, CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing) is online self-completion, and mixed-mode combines methods within a single study. We design the mode mix around your audience and incidence so you get the best balance of reach, representativeness and cost.
How large a sample can GDCC handle?
We deliver from a few hundred interviews to multi-country trackers of hundreds of thousands of interviews per year. Capacity scales up and down without compromising quality thanks to centralised supervision and harmonised scripting.
How do you ensure data quality?
Every project runs with live interviewer supervision, call recording for verification, logic and consistency checks, and sample monitoring against quotas. Data is validated and cleaned before delivery so results are representative and projectable.
What languages are available?
We field studies in 30+ languages using native- or near-native (C1-level) interviewers, ensuring respondents are interviewed naturally in their own language for accurate, nuanced data.
How quickly can a study go into field?
Feasibility is typically returned within 48 hours, and straightforward studies can be scripted, tested and in field within days. Timelines depend on sample, length and number of markets.
Can you run multi-country surveys to one standard?
Yes. A single project lead coordinates scripting, sampling and fieldwork across markets so questionnaires, quotas and quality controls stay harmonised — giving you clean, comparable data across borders.
